We write songs in the band (x:am) in different ways, sometimes they'll start out as guitar tracks, sometimes as electronica straight from the computer, sometimes there's just a bassline, occassionally the words come first...Seeing as I'm often (although not always) responsible for the words loads of the songs have a version where I'm doing the singing. See, the thing about pickled eggs is that bite one you go "Yum, yum, that's nice.", bite two's kind of more of the same, bite three you can take or leave it and by the time you're finishing the egg you're kind of bored.Thus, chilli pickled quail's eggs were born. Just finished a big green screen shoot at the Pie Factory in Manchester for a well known hair product range. Good fun to play with a giant green screen and a great cast and crew. Can't wait till it's finished.

Article in Wired a while ago showed you how to make a "fake model" from a photograph. Check out the technique here.The basic premise is that when you view a landscape photo you're generally looking at something that's got a large field of vision, wheras macro photos naturally have a small one, so when you see the blurs your eyes tell your brain it's looking at something small.Like this:
